1:1 paper template

Pipe Flange Gasket Template PDF

Print it true to size, check the squares, punch on the crosshairs.

A paper template is the fastest way to make a full-face gasket without a laser: print it 1:1, glue it to the gasket sheet, punch the bolt holes and cut the outline. The Pro template comes from the gasket DXF generator for the exact gasket on screen, with every check you need on the first page.

The 1:1 punch & cut template PDF is part of the Pro pack: page 1 checks scale, then 1:1 tiles carry a crosshair on every hole and alignment targets in the overlaps.

What is on the PDF

The ASME 4" Class 150 gasket prints as Letter · 3 pages (check page + 2 tiles).

100% Actual Size (1:1) 50.0 mm 2.00 in tile map R1/C1 · R1/C2 hollow-punch crosshair at every hole centre alignment target in the 10 mm overlap
Check page: 50.0 mm and 2.00 in squares, the tile map and the punch legend; tile pages carry crosshairs and alignment targets.

Page 1 is always the check page: the two squares, a parameter table (size, bolt pattern, chord, minimum web, kerf, material) and the hole table with every hole's angle and X/Y. The remaining pages are 1:1 tiles of the drawing extents (the gasket box plus 5 mm), with 10 mm overlaps and Row / Column labels.

The paper size is Letter by default (A4 on the Material & cut tab), with 10 mm margins. The studio picks portrait or landscape, whichever needs fewer tiles; a Ø540 split ring needs 9 Letter tiles plus the check page.

Steps

Print, check, punch and cut

  1. Print at 100 %Open the PDF and print at 100 % or "Actual size"; switch off "Fit to page" and any scaling.
  2. Measure the check squaresOn page 1, the square marked 50.0 mm must measure 50.0 mm and the one marked 2.00 in must measure 2.00 in. If not, fix the printer setting and print again.
  3. Tape the tilesFor large gaskets, overlap neighbouring tiles by 10 mm and line up the blue alignment targets; tape on the back.
  4. Glue to the gasket sheetSpray-mount the template onto gasket paper, fibre, cork or rubber sheet and let it tack.
  5. Punch the holesPut the hollow punch on each crosshair and strike once on a wooden block.
  6. Cut the outlineCut the bore and the outline on the solid lines with a sharp knife or scissors, then peel the paper.

Watch the jumps between ratings: DN200 has 8 holes at PN10 but 12 at PN16 on the same 295 mm circle, and from DN250 the PN16 flange gets a larger OD. Bolt circle math is on the bolt circle calculator page.
